F.A.Q

Why is your service free of charge? Is there a rub in it?

No, there really is no rub. Files.to is fully financed by advertising revenue; the use is for free. There are neither hidden contracts nor dubious partner pages.

How big can uploaded files be?

We have set up a very big maximum file size of 150 megabytes. This is a big amount of data; even bigger files would massively burden our servers and in the end just decrease our capacity.

How many files can I upload?

There is no limit for the number of uploaded files; you can use our service as often as you want. All uploads are of course for free, it doesn’t matter how many files you have already saved at Files.to.

When will my file be deleted? Do you host my files permanently?

Unfortunately due to the high amount of data, we feel impelled to delete old or rarely used files after 30 days of inactivity. If an upload is not downloaded for 30 consecutive days, our script removes it automatically to retrieve storage capacity.

Which file formats are allowed?

The functionality of Files.to is not limited to a few file formats; generally all file extensions are accepted. It doesn’t matter if you want to upload a document, a song, an image are an archive. Just files that violate against applicable law or infringe against copyright are searched and deleted.

I brim over with enthusiasm for Files.to! How can I support the service?

Our biggest pleasure is a rise in popularity. That’s why we ask you to tell as many friends as possible about Files.to, if our service has helped you. This way we become more and more popular and will be able to extend our page.
